Interior Dash Cam for Rear Camera footage?

While I've just invested in a Garmin Mini 2 dash cam, I'm considering returning it for one that records the interior as well.

So my question is, (having seen interior camera footage on YouTube reviews where you can see the outside back of your car, and that's with a normal sized car) ... does anyone use, or think you can use, footage from an interior camera to capture the outside back of our cars for say a rear end collision and such, considering how small our cars are front to rear?

Given the compromised position i would not buy a super 4k HD camera for the rear but a rear facing camera is still useful.

I mounted my Insta360 to the back seat headrest using a clamp-style mount — works great and keeps the camera steady. You get a super nice perspective above the windshield showing both the road and the dash. Just make sure the camera is centered to avoid the car edge looking weird in the frame. Editing the 360 clips after is easy too with the Insta360 app.
